Thanks to the wonder of capitalism roughly 3.5 million people die from lack of clean water, 1.5 million people die from vaccinable diseases, and 9 million people die from hunger each and every year. That's over a 140 million deaths every decade. horizons-newspaper.com/index…

What people must always realize is that the United States is effectively the most powerful, influential and entrenched empire in all human history. It cannot last forever, but one should never underestimate the scale of the fight to bring it down.

This fucking country, man.
Canada is expanding its travel ban to include Nigeria, Malawi and Egypt. (After previously imposing bans on southern African countries.) Interestingly, there are far more confirmed cases of Omicron in European countries than in Nigeria, Malawi or Egypt. But they're not banned.

Slavery vs capitalism: in slavery the boss owns you all the time, but in capitalism only for 8 hours/day, 40 per week. Real freedom only arrives when no boss owns us any time, when workers cooperatively run their businesses.

First the victory of the Teamsters reform slate, now the UAW workers reenacting one member, one vote. Love to see an upsurge in support for rank and file democracy in major unions!

Liberals are so terrified of "authoritarianism" purely because "authoritarian" states are able to resist US colonisation attempts (both militarily and in terms of "spreading liberal democracy")

Yeah, k we need to get the fuck out of NATO
Replying to @GlumBird
When asked if Canada would go to war with Russia if there was an invasion of Ukraine at today's NATO meeting in Latvia, the Canadian Foreign Minister answered that Canada is already in Ukraine training the Ukrainian military, and that Canada is ready. redirect.invidious.io/watch?v=gxhrXKbd…

I love living in a democracy. Pushing a button every four years to pick the guy who will go on TV to tell us which country he just bombed. Plus you get a little sticker.

If you're thinking about buying yet another Product or Item, stop and think about it for a day. If you still want to buy it think about it for an additional day. Repeat this process until you no longer want to buy it.

A plot of virtual land just sold for $2.43 million on Decentraland. Property in the Metaverse is now more expensive than homes in NYC or San Francisco. You know what this means, right? Millennials can’t even afford fictional land.

How anyone can confuse capitalism with a "meritocracy" is beyond me. Capitalism is based solely on property relations. Your boss isn't better than you because they own the business. Your landlord isn't better than you because they own the building. They just own things.
